It was the kind of street display that made Janet's painting of a '57 Chev feel right at home. (Near right.).

|During the month of March, regular visitors to Just Imajan Gallery might be surprised to find owner/artist Janet B. Armstrong not painting on-site as usual -- but those who've followed her career over the years won't be. Janet has achieved another oft-dreamed goal and has been recognized by the Leighton Artists' Colony who invited her to participate as an artist in residence at the Banff Centre from March 1st to 31st, 2012. She is currently off-site working on a new series of paintings inspired by her mountain retreat.
The gallery remains open during her hiatus. Drop in to see the art and antiques on display, including the plein airs from Janet's fall trip to the Bugaboos. Browse works by guest artists and check out the collectibles brought in by antiques-picker Gerry Frost, who was recently featured in an article of the Western Producer. All sixteen snowman will be displayed from noon to 8:00 p.m. on January 28th at the 2012 Cochrane WinterFest held at the Cochrane Lions Rodeo Grounds.
